Everybody who has some interest to mathematics can understand this remarkable book. I was 17 when I read it first time. Now I have PhD in mathematics and often use examples from the book for my students and my children. Some things seem to be impossible (the curve covering a square, ...) but after reading this book one can feel it, not only understand.

Inclusive Voices In Post-Exilic Judah by Anna L. Grant-Henderson (Lecturer in Old Testament Studies, for the United Church in South Australia, Flinders University) is a close and measured study of Isaiah 56-66, offering a ground breaking interpretation featuring broad-ranging inclusiveness and the possibility that Israel may no longer claim to be the chosen nation of YHWH. Very highly recommended reading, Inclusive Voices in Post-Exilic Judah is a succinctly written, meticulously reasoned, scholarly evaluation that searches for the insight behind every quote.

I highly recommend this book for those who are interested in infrared photography. It is a well-balanced combination of technical information on infrared radiation and how it varies, composition and visualization of infrared images, comparisons of the same scene shot with infrared and standard B&W film, use of IR film with different filters and types of subjects, and portfolios by seven photographers who cover a wide range of techniques and styles (including B&W IR, hand-colored B&W IR, and color IR). For most photographers, this is the only guide to Infrared you'll need.

If you like the humor of the Monkees you will love this book.
It is about a band called the Oxymorons who make holographic images of their band, are involved in a soda factory explosion (Oh No Not The Grape!) meet the Echo Bandits and chase the bad guys who are chasing a car that drives itself. This has more humor than Grant Lees first book Microworlds but is just as exciting and fun. A great read.

The apostle Paul's task included providing an avenue of intentional discourse between Judaistic Jewish theologians and Christian Jewish theologians. Dr. Bruce Fields has stood on a similar ground in being instrumental in building a bridge for theological dialogue between conservative and liberal Christians who claim African ancestry. This book "Introducing Black Theology" is a must read for all Christians who seek unbiased truth. It should be placed next to works rendered by the likes of Professor Cone and other scholars who dare to deal with the ethnic orders of Christianity. Audry Grant continues the excellence of her writing on bridge with this book. In bridge books, there is so much emphasis on bidding that defending against a bid seems to take a back seat. No more with this excellent book. It is extremely readable and understandable and even a relative beginner will quickly grasp the fundamentals of defense. A great addition to any bridge library.

This seventh and final collection unites nearly all the past characters and story archs into a grand unified theory of metaphysics (an explanation of the nature of the world- and what lies beyond it.) In fact, it ties together some loose story threads that I had given up on entirely. It reads like a teflon-coated bullet; what isn't action packed is shocking, what isn't shocking is arousing, and what isn't arousing is an intellectual roller coaster. If you read it through in one sitting like I did, you are going to need a bottle of aspirin....

There is some pretty deep philosophical stuff imbedded in here. I recognised concepts on the true nature of time that could have come right out of Ouspensky. In fact, that's what the whole grand opera seems to be leading up to here- Morrison is trying to shake us out of our complacent sleep walking and open us up to looking behind the accepted "reality" of things. This can lead to either individual transcendence, or, as Morrison seems to speculate, it can lead to a leap in evolution for the entire species. You see, all the strange and unexplainable stuff that is breaking into our world these days are just the growing pains of an expanded consciousness. Larval man is about to break through the veil, enmass. What is terrifying to us now will later be seen as aspects of reality that were only temporarily frightening because of their newness and strangeness. Even opposites unite at the next higher level.

My only criticism is with the unevenness of the artwork. With so many pencillers and inkers working on the project you lose consistency. You can go from an almost photographic level of draftsmanship in one section, to cartoonish caricature in the next. That can distract from the smooth flow of the story line.

Oh yes, and if you get to Benares- don't drink the water....

While finding a complete copy of Irenaeus' 5 volume set is difficult, this work is a fine stepping stone on the way to commiting oneself to delving into the lunicy of Gnostic "thought."

In essence, this work is accurately described as a "best of" Against Heresies. Not exhaustive by any means, this volume stills provides more than enough to chew on for those who have never been properly introduced to the approach, style, and "tact" of this surprisingly entertaining apostolic leader.

The definitive source for open channel flow measurement from the industry leader in environmental sampling and flow metering. The book contains a fundamental description of open channel flow, a discussion of the principal types of flumes and weirs, a primary device selection guide, a discussion of the Manning equation and it's limitations, and (most importantly) discharge tables for almost all types and sizes of primary devices that one might find in the field. Everyone in the water or wastewater industry should have copy for general reference.

I feel I know Patsy personally, though we've not met. Each page reveals her warmth and creative spirit. She gave me ideas to be implemented, thoughts to be pondered and motivation to: begin creating Reading Corners, Expand my Art Savy, & Create Delightful Table Settings for any occasion. Most of all, she shares her love of Christ and points the reader toward knowing Him better. That, she contends, is how you create a place to cherish.

I too, am from Michigan (near Brighton), have an Aunt Pearl (who lives in the UP), and recently had to have our beloved family dog put to sleep.

By sharing her personal life on each page, she left me feeling I was part of her family. I walk through my home now, looking at the rooms with renewed interest. What can I change or add or take away, that will make my home "Home?"
